One must provide solid examples of accomplishments and abilities beyond the claims made on a resume. Building a website or e-portfolio is one method of doing this. This resource provides more freedom than a basic traditional resume. It tailors the view of one's experiences and work products to the needs of employers.
Ultimately, I have learned from this project and creating a writing portfolio that there are many ways to skin a cat. Including some creativity in the design and presentation of resumes and other information is essential. These days, it is hard to get noticed by employers when there are so many people in the job market.
